What most potential home buyers love about Fraser Valley is the authentic rural setting that seems like its worlds away from all the hustle and bustle of downtown Vancouver. Occupying a small region downstream from Fraser Canyon in southwestern British Columbia, most locals define Fraser Valley as the territory between the town of Hope and the entire Canadian portion of the Fraser Lowland and the areas bordering it. Despite it tranquil, country setting, Fraser Valley, which emerges at the end of the Fraser Canyon right around the Hope city limits, is relatively easy to access from Vancouver, as two major highways almost border each of its north and south shorelines. Highway 7, which runs on the Fraser River's north side, travels through several well-established communities like Mission and Maple Ridge before connecting to the Trans-Canada Highway just south of Port Coquitlam, while the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1) runs alongside the Fraser River's south shoreline all the way from Fraser Valley's far east side to the town of Hope and beyond to the west.
