Vancouver Catholic Schools

With five Catholic dioceses within British Columbia, the province boasts 79 Catholic schools offering religious instruction to students.  Within the greater Vancouver area, there are 39 elementary schools and six secondary schools managed by the Archdiocese of Vancouver.

Notre Dame Regional Secondary School offers classes for students in grades 8-12.  Meanwhile, St. Patrick Regional Secondary School, also known as St. Pat’s, is a prep school in Vancouver.  In addition, Little Flower Academy is an independent Catholic school for girls, open to grades 8-12.

The all-boys equivalent of a university prep school is Vancouver College.  With elementary and secondary programs, the school covers kindergarten through grade 12 and is found in Vancouver’s Shaughnessy neighbourhood.

Younger students in grades preschool through 8th grade have the option of attending schools such as Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School.  Located conveniently on Franklin Street in Vancouver, the school offers a faith-based education with a variety of teaching strategies in play.

Yet another option in Catholic education is St. Mary’s School on Joyce Street in Vancouver.  This school goes from kindergarten-7th grade, hosting both local students and international students.  St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Elementary School, as well, offers a faith-based education for students in kindergarten-7th grade, as well as instruction for international students.
